Kentaros Control
17 October 2020 | Engine | Rononrun
Overview
The Royal Knight [BT3-043] Kentaurosmon is said to hold the sacred crossbow Muspelheimr on one hand, and the sacred shield Niflheimr another. Similarly here, he puts up an almost impenetrable barrier when digivolved, while launching a deadly -11000DP towards an opponent's digimon when he is destroyed. This level of damage puts Kentaurosmon up as a key removal card when played in yellow and violet/purple decks..

Mechanics
The gist behind this engine is simple: use [BT3-109] Rematch! on Kentaurosmon and then get him destroyed in order to remove an opponent's digimon. Since Rematch! is cheap and revives the destroyed digimon, this combo has amazing value. In most cases, -11000DP will be sufficient.

However in order to maximize coverage (on all LV6 12000DP digimons) it is recommended to inherit from [ST3-08] MagnaAngemon, allowing you to add an additional -1000DP to his repertoire. If you are playing Kentaurosmon with the ShineGreymon engine, then [BT2-035] GeoGreymon can also deliver this additional damage instead of MagnaAngemon.
Weakness

Kentaurosmon will fall short when dealing with threats bigger than 11000DP or 12000DP (such as LV7s) unless if they are suspended/rested, in which Kentaurosmon can be sacrificed (by attacking them) triggering the -11000DP on your opponent's digimon, to be finished up by another of your digimons. For those big, active digimons [BT2-110] Trump Sword will still be needed if you are not playing a ShineGreymon engine.
