Metal Garurumon - new Purple Power
Overview

Last week, on 27th Nov, Bandai released new starter deck for purple, green and black, comes with 3 promotion cards [P-027] Metalgarurumon (purple), [P-025] Grankuwagamon (green) and [P-026] Black Wargreymon (black). The most wanted in the market now is purple Metalgarurumon, the price for him is almost double compared to his same generation (Grankuwagamon and Black wargreymon). With the present of his, the purple color now has some status in the winning tournament tamer battle.
Let talk a bit about purple Metalgarurumon, why he becomes so hot after his debut. First of all, purple is not the deck that can moving very fast. All the purple winning tournament decks have Beelzemon and Millenniummon, this is the only 2 most powerful digimon in Purple. Regarding of their power, they are easy to get destroy by some option card or higher DP digimon (Millenniummon is only 13000DP for a LV7 digimon, while Omegamon is 15000DP and Ragnaloard is 14000DP).
Metalgarurumon, new promotion card, is the one that can push purple deck moving faster during battle. The deck will use many LV3/4/5 with low digivolve cost to move up to him. Once he has chance to attack opponent digimon or security, here it comes to show off his support to purple. His main effect: You can choose to digimon from his evolution source to play a 7 costs or less option card for free. It means for each Metalgarurumon with full evolution source from LV2 to LV5, the player can use up to 2 option cards for free during battle.
Which Option Card to use for this new Purple Deck

Purple has the best 3 option cards as above. First of all, [BT2-110] Trump Sword (7costs – to destroy 1 of your opponent active digimon), is a must to put 3 or 4 copies in the deck. The new option card in new starter deck, [ST6-16] Nail Bone (7 costs – to play a purple LV3 and purple LV4 digimon card from trash). This card is very useful for rookie-rush or retrieve the LV4 blocker from trash. The other option card is [BT2-108] Grisly Wing, to play a LV3 purple digimon from trash for free. This card is only 2 costs. If your have 4 copies of Nail Bone, then maybe you don't need to put this card into your purple deck.
Support

Draw power is a must for this deck for option cards or Metalgarurumon. Putting max number (4 copies) for [BT3-006] Demimeramon, [ST6-03] Gabumon and [BT2-069] Gabumon to gain <draw+1> when attacking or destroyed.
Weakness
You may be a bit shock if you play against this deck for the first time, but no worry, every deck has their own certain weakness.
First of all, Trump Sword will become useless if there is no active digimon in the battle, so if you play against this deck, remember to not let your digimon stay active in their turn. You can either keep them in Raising Area or attack security to stay rest in next turn. Second, for Nail Bone or Grisly Wing, it can be resolved by the Rookie-Rush killer [BT2-018] Volcanicdramon or using the low cost blocker in black color to deal with purple LV4 vengeance/retaliation digimon. And the last point, this LV6 Metalgaruru only has 11000DP, it can be destroyed easily by another LV6 digimon or option card. So normally purple player will digivolve them up to LV7 Milleniummon, Omnimon or Ragnaloardmon or Gaia Force can come to destroy him.
